Producer / Agent Wanted for Small Insurance Agency
•
Work-Life Balance •
| This position offers flexibility with your hours and we encourage a work-life balance... You should be honest (there will be a background check), reliable, personable, well-mannered, outgoing, be sales driven, able to multi-task, and have a strong work ethic. Also, other good assets would be having an attention to detail, high level of organizational ability, computer skills and knowledge of applied systems (Comparative Raters, Word & Excel). If you are bi-lingual, that will be a plus for you sales-wise. |
Work from your home office, our home office, the coffee shop or anywhere you want (or in our soon-to-be new office in Ballard – 2012). We are Orange Insurance... Orange is an independent insurance agency that works direct with major insurance carriers as well as general agencies. We're looking for one or two new producers to help grow our business. [ Please read this all the way through, it will give you details on what we're looking for, who we are, salary, commissions, bonuses and more... It also shows what we cover, expense-wise and what you don't have to! This is a real position, it looks like a lot of information, but that's because we give more information up front than anyone else, so please read on! ]
We know what it takes to start an agency – a lot of hard work – and if you are just starting out as an independent producer/agent, that task can be daunting and expensive… We have set up the business entity (so you don’t have to) and we also pay for agency E&O Insurance, lead generation, all of the annual and monthly fees associated with carriers and general agencies, business cards, marketing materials, brochures, a website and email. You don’t have to worry about setting up an LLC, bank accounts, record keeping, etc. - we’ve done all of that and pay you as a 1099 employee as soon as we receive the commissions from the carriers. We are looking to grow into a retail location in Ballard and want to work with new independent sub-agents/producers. The markets that we have access to are almost limitless – whatever you can sell, we probably have a carrier for – and if we don’t have one, we’ll get one!
We have a list of over 1000 potential local warm leads and work with four lead generation services to also provide us with incoming warm clients. And we’ve set up a social networking site for our clients and producers. This is all something that we pay for as well! Although there are ongoing leads for marketing new sales, this position also requires external marketing, cold-calling and prospecting to grow the business and increase the client base.
So, if you don’t feel like going through the process of setting up your own agency, spending $16,500 a year on business expenses and would like to work with a company that has appointments in place with major carriers and general agencies in multiple states – then look no further. Some of our top carriers include Safeco, Travelers, The Hartford, Foremost, Progressive, SIS/PCIC, LifeWise, GroupHealth, MetLife, JW Surety, GeoVera, BTIS, Navigators and many, many more.
If you are new to the industry – no problem here – we are more than willing to work with you and help you grow while learning the ins-and-outs of insurance (I remember how hard it was to get noticed out there).
You must have your state license in order to sell a specific line within that state... As an agency, we are currently licensed in Washington, Idaho, Oregon, New Mexico, South Carolina and Florida – and if you have business that can be written in another state, we are more than willing to pay to get agency licensed in that state (California and Montana are next on the list).
You can work with us and make 50% Commission on all new business – no fine print...
You get 50% of the commission on any new business you bring in, renewals and the broker of record go to the agency over the first trial 6 months… We will discuss salary plus commission, bonuses, profit sharing and benefit options as well as renewal commissions after 6 months – depending on the amount of business you are bringing in – this will work on a sliding scale, month-to-month, depending on your volume.
Hit the ground running… Come talk to us.
Our Offer & Your Opportunity.
